What is the Canadian Death Race?

The 125 km course begins and ends on a 4200 foot plateau, passes over three mountain summits and includes over 17,000 feet of elevation change and a major river crossing at the spectacular Hell’s Gate canyon at the confluence of the Smoky and Sulphur Rivers.

The race can be run individually or as a relay team. We have decided to take on this challenge together. Each section of the relay is timed and there are specific cut off times that each runner must make it to the exchange zone in.

Break down of the race: First leg  – 19km, Second Leg- 27km, Third leg- 19km, Fourth leg- 38 km (Run in the middle of the night), Fifth leg- 22km
